the gps horseback adventure
Glad you joined us!
Not all states or areas are represented right now, but we hope that situation changes quickly as more people get out to ride and hide this season.
Once you have clicked on and opened the database in a new window, you will see two frames. The left side is the search functions, while the right window will display the results of your search.
First to see all the listings. Under LAYOUT, use the down arrow to see and choose LIST and all the Equicaches will appear in a list. You can return to the Equicaches form by clicking the down arrow again and choosing Equicaches.
In either view: If you want to search for a state, click on the magnifying glass
in the upper right of the left hand column. The right hand screen will change to a blank form. The simplest way to search right now is by state.

In the State field in either view, on the right window frame, put the two letter abbreviation of the state you want to view. For example: AZ or PA. Then click on the Perform Find box below.
All the caches for that state will appear. If there are any! If not, please accept the challenge to be the first in your area to place a cache! Or, if you know of a geocache that is located on a horsetrail, please let the webmaster know and it will be added to the database.
Once you have found the caches for your state you can narrow your search by city or park. At this time, since our caches do not number in the thousands, you may want to review all the caches in your state or nearby states.
When you have decided on a cache to ride to and find, the Equicache view allows for a page to be printed out that you can take with you.
Clicking on the GOOGLE MAP link will take you to a view of the actual cache location. You can then use Google maps to get directions from your location to the cache to make your road travel simple.
In the LIST view, you can also click on SHOW ME and the link will take you to the GEOCACHING.COM site listing for the cache if it exists there as well. Many of the Equicaching caches have also been listed on the GEOCACHING web site.
Remember to come back to Equicaching.com and record your find. Each equicacher will have an online account with the database to keep track of the equicaches you have found or have hidden.
Happy Equicaching!!!
